Best Quirky Halloween Costume Idea for a Couple?

My boyfriend and I want a quirky idea for our coordinating Halloween Costumes this year…we’re going for a forbidden/unusual love theme :)
So far, we’ve thought of Astronaut & Alien, Sailor & Mermaid, Cowboy & Native American, etc. Any ideas?

Is having a sword arch using the bridesmaids and groomsmen too over-the-top?

My husband and I agreed to participate in a renaissance wedding for two very good friends. So far we are out a minor fortune for costumes and accessories (like our own metal plates, cups, mugs etc….) and since we do not "do" renaissance faires, it’s truly becoming a huge drain on our resources. Yesterday the bride called and said she had a dream about a sword arch as the newlywed couple walked down the aisle and decided to go with it. I’m now supposed to buy two King Solomon 31.5-inch Gold Sword with Scabbard for .00 each plus S&H.

I have two questions, do women really participate in sword arches? The sword really doesn’t go with my gown. And how do you tell an eager bride her ideas are becoming a little "too much" and yet remain friends.

I don’t want to ruin a friendship over .00 or so in swords.

Anybody have any ideas for how to make these glasses into part of a costume?

I need some couple costume ideas!!! Something that will be attractive but not skanky..
maybe original?

Need Group Costume Ideas!?

Our Spirit week is coming up within the next few weeks.
One of our days is Character Day where you dress up as a character from a movie of a show or book..whatever :P

Well, I have a group of 8! 3 boys and 5 girls. (there are two couples in the group and they kind of want to correspond with their boyfriend).

We’ve thought of:
-Mario
-Scooby Doo & Villans
-Power Rangers
-Disney classics
-Super Heros
-Smurfs

I’m actually really for the Mario idea, but all the girls want to be the princesses and no one wants to be Toadette or Birdo or Yoshi because we don’t know how we’d do that!

I am going out for Halloween with a group of friends. I would like some group ideas. Probably something homemade. We are all 15 so we don’t want something childish or stupid or too revealing please! Something funny but not stupid cuz it’s going to be the last year we’re going out. Please group & 1 person costume ideas! Thanks!

What published theatre plays would be good picks for costume design?

Class Individual Events for drama in school. I am going to go costume design. I would like to know some good plays to do a women’s costume for…preferably feminine. preferably not within a broad subject range. example, it would be fun to make a costume for a women in Romeo & Juliet because of the fashion in the Renaissance but I feel that if I made a dress and decided it woul be for Lady Montague it could also be suitable for any other (high class) woman in the play.
So i’d like some plays with exact costumes for roles that I could make.

group costume ideas????

Me and my cuzin (we are both 13 & girls), my little brother (7 years old) and my little cousin (5 years old and is a girl) are going to go trick-or- treating together. we want to do like a group theme for all of us.

the only one we can think of is star wars. we want something 25$ and under for each of our costumes. suggestions please! thanks

Role reversal halloween party costume ideas?

My GF & I are going to a "role reversal" themed costume party for Halloween. Prizes are being given for individual and couples costumes in the following categories, funniest, sexiest and most realistic. We would like to try to win the contest for either sexiest or most realistic (too many people will try for funniest we think) couple. We need some good ideas for costumes.
We are both about 5′9" with slim athletic builds. Since the prize is 0 we are sure there will be some pretty wild costumes and we are willing to go head to head with anyone else. My GF is great at makeup and says she can definitely do my face to make it look girlish and she can do hers to make it look masculine.
Please send ideas we are open to anything!

Halloween Costume Ideas?

My son & my niece are 4 days apart in age. While they are still too young to protest (lol) my sister & I dress them alike for Halloween. Their first Halloween, they were Mickey & Minnie Mouse, last year, they were Peter Pan & Tinkerbell. Does anyone have any cute "couple" ideas for this year? We were thinking 50s Sock Hop, but while it is cute for a girl, it is not much of a costume for a boy. I live in the South so the weather will likely be warm.
