Any costume ideas for a school speech?

For my speech in my social studies class we need to dress like the person we are researching. I choose Galileo to research. For the costume, we do not need to go all out. We just need to wear a hat or cloak or boots, just one simple thing. However, I am still stuck. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

What medieval accessories can a groom wear without looking like he's in costume?

We’re having a wedding in a Renaissance type location but we’re not going for the all-out Renaissance theme. I won’t have a medieval style dress but I’ll have a tiara or garland and maybe a cloak or cape. What can my groom wear with a tux that will be a throwback to medieval times without looking like he’s in costume?

What color cape should I purchase to match my Renaissance Faire dress?

I have purchased a beautiful Renaissance dress from Pyramid Collections.

The dress has a royal purple skirt and a reversible top that is either black or gold and purple. I have been looking at capes from VonLancelot on Ebay. The name of his store is Cloak Company. He makes beautiful satin-lined moleskin cloaks. I am going to buy one, and have several picked out, but am not sure what color I can pair it with.
