Halloween costume ideas?

im a 13 year old girl and cant find any halloween costumes i REALLY wanna be. usually i have it figured out by now as halloween is my 2 fave holiday…i was thinking about wearing a pin-up/r retro inspired dress but after hours of searching the internet stopped because they are all super expensive. then i was thinking about being audrey hepburn (breakfast at tiffany’s) but all the costume dont look like the orignal dress or are out of really crappy material
then i thought id be marylin monroe but i think its boring to just wear a white halter dress withut it actually blowing up :/
anyways i thought maybe you guys could help me find something that fits along these lines or something else all i really want is to wear a dress!!! im also open to middle age, Renaissance, or victorian aged dresses

they announce women and children only, so men start dressing up as women. Then they run out of dresses, but have a bunch of other costumes, so they start announcing things like "women, children, and space astronauts only" and then "women, children, space astronauts, and cowboys only" and then finally "women, children, space astronauts, cowboys, and the stylized version of the complete Renaissance man" or something to that effect. I vaguely remember watching something like it as a child, and my father quoting it to me. Any help would e appreciated. Thanks!

I've searched to web for a fairy dress, but keep getting the same results from different sites. Need help.

What I am looking for is a fairy dress to wear to a Renaissance faire (something similar to what my avatar is wearing). I did a web search, but I keep finding the same dresses/costumes on every site. They are either slutty, or cheaply made (and it shows) or well constructed, but outrageously priced. There is also a profusion of Tinkerbell costumes, which is not what I am looking for. I want something that looks like something a real fairy would wear (if fairies were real) and will not break my budget. Also, it would be helpful if the site accepts Paypal. If anyone has any information that will help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

i’m making my halloween costume and it out of baby blue satin and royal blue velvatine. it’s going to be sort of a royal queenly look like the reniassance but i can’t seem to decide on sleeves. which ones do you like???

group costume ideas?

in band we have this day where everybody dresses in a costume and all the people in one section dress in the same costume. I need some ideas for the mallet percussion/pit section for us all to dress up as. in previous years people have been hippies, ninja turtles, m&m’s…that sort of thing. We have 7 people in our group. thanks for your help! :D

what would be a fair price to charge for labor on these 2 dresses? pattern 3623 is only the (A) corset vest and single skirt size 12 . pattern M5647 is just as seen in red (A) size 24w. all materials have been supplied.

3623: plaid cotton plaid lined up on the skirt, tweed vest lined with satin; m5647 is velveteen and satin sleeves. My husband is a furniture upholster and took in this job for a couple ladies who were desperate do get them done in time for the ren. fair. And I want to give them a fair price tomorrow when they come to pick them up.

Ok so at my school, everyone dresses up for halloween and it is a HUGE deal. Do you guys have any ideas for a group of people? It can be for a big group or small group, all ideas are welcome!
My favorites in the past years were:
Cast of Survivor
Mario Kart Characters—> I LOVED THIS ONE SOOOO MUCH, anything similar…but not too similar would be really fun to do!
Where’s Waldo?
I have heard, and do not like:
Crayons
Wizard of Oz

Plus size kids costumes?

My daughter is a little overweight and has a hard time fitting into costumes sold at the disney store. She fits into the dresses just fine, but when it’s a pant and shirt combo or a costume that is designed to be a little bit on the tight side (like the ariel costume), she has a bit of a hard time. She has been almost all of the princesses and wants to stay with the Disney princess theme that she does every year. The problem is we’re left with Ariel, Jasmine, and Pocahontas. Does anyone know where I can find plus size kids costumes? I tried doing a google search and all I come up with is plus size adult costumes. I thought about getting a pattern, but I am not known for my sewing skills. I take all of my mending to my moms house! Help! I fear I’m running out of time!
In response to Emily: You did not answer my question. I know that being overweight as a child leads to problems later in life. She sees her doctor regularly. She eats well and she plays sports. She is perfectly healthy-blood work and all. Please do not judge someone you do not know. In the future, try answering the questions that are asked and not giving your opinion on something that is outside of the scope of the question.

To start all of us are in our sophomore year in high school and we don’t want to go buy a full costume from our Halloween store..

we want to look mysterious and sexy/cute..

we were thinking pussycat dolls but one girl hated the idea…

but I was thinking girl scouts or a sports team or we all go in dresses and mask but no one likes the idea..
