Famous couples costume ideas for a dance?

I’m going to a themed dance and the theme is famous couples! Any good ideas for couples that would be easy to dress up as? :)

COSTUME PARTY HELP: Theme is decades, cute couple costumes?

Me: long dark hair, tall, thin
Boyfriend: dark hair, tall, really really big (like, think total jock/meat-head hahaha)

What costumes would be cute for us? I was thinking doing Sid and Nancy, but 1) I’d need a blonde wig, and 2) I don’t think anyone at the party likes punk rock enough to get it! haha

They don’t need to be famous couples, just couple costume ideas from the 1920’s – 1990’s, etc.. and I’d love an idea that totally goes with the fact that he’s huge and I’m only like a 1/3 of his size (we already look awkward together, might as well play it up! haha)
Oh, plus Sid and Nancy doesn’t really work because my boyfriend is huge and Sid is notoriously scrawny.
And I’d rather not have to go out and buy entire costumes… something I could throw together, please – and maybe just buy one or two accesories! Thank you ! :)

Halloween costume ideas?

My boyfriend and I would like to do a couple’s costume for halloween this year, but we’re having trouble finding something that’s appealing for both of us and would also be recognizable. We have a very small budget, and he’s not the type to go all out on a costume, so something subtle, that he could wear some of his own clothes for would be good. I on the other hand like to go crazy and look super hot. I would love some ideas of like, famous couples, or something fun and cute. We had originally thought of being the couple in the "War’s End Kiss" picture, but were worried that if we didn’t pose, no one would get it. We also considered John Lennon and Yoko Ono, but I want to look cute, not strange. Any help would be much appreciated.

dumb and dumber
powerpuff girls
madeline
peterpan and tinkerbell

we need them easy but to look really good
