Cute matching tween halloween costumes?

So my best friend and I trick or treat together since we met (5 yrs old) because my sister is to old to trick or treat and so is hers and we always go matching! Now that we don’t fit the kids costumes it has become really hard to find appropriatte matching tween costumes! I need something cute and funny not raunchy and trashy. I live in a nieghborhood with classy people I am not walking around dressed as what appears to be a hooker. Thnx.

I’m having a lot of trouble finding a cute, fun, and girly costume for Halloween! I don’t want to have a homemade costume and nothing over . Plus I want a costume that when I wear it, people know what I am…so nothing like the Raspberry Girl costume from Leg Avenue (my friend’s being that and I thought it was a Strawberry Shortcake costume or something!) Oh yeah, I don’t fit into adult costumes either; so just kids costumes or in juniors xs.

Need EASY way to sew ADJUSTABLE waistband. Making skirts for kids – fabric too heavy for gathered elastic band

I’m making kids costumes and the girls skirts are made of a suede material. I don’t think the fabric will gather well for an elastic waitstband, but I want the skirts somewhat adjustable in case they don’t fit each girl exactly. I’d like the ideas I collect to be quick and easy ways to do an adjustable waistband. I’m fairly handy with sewing and I can follow most directions (just provide lots of details!) Thanks.

Plus size kids costumes?

My daughter is a little overweight and has a hard time fitting into costumes sold at the disney store. She fits into the dresses just fine, but when it’s a pant and shirt combo or a costume that is designed to be a little bit on the tight side (like the ariel costume), she has a bit of a hard time. She has been almost all of the princesses and wants to stay with the Disney princess theme that she does every year. The problem is we’re left with Ariel, Jasmine, and Pocahontas. Does anyone know where I can find plus size kids costumes? I tried doing a google search and all I come up with is plus size adult costumes. I thought about getting a pattern, but I am not known for my sewing skills. I take all of my mending to my moms house! Help! I fear I’m running out of time!
In response to Emily: You did not answer my question. I know that being overweight as a child leads to problems later in life. She sees her doctor regularly. She eats well and she plays sports. She is perfectly healthy-blood work and all. Please do not judge someone you do not know. In the future, try answering the questions that are asked and not giving your opinion on something that is outside of the scope of the question.
