Where can I find a cheap plus-sized Halloween costume that isn't slutty?

My boss wants me and my coworkers to dress up. Last year I went as a female version of the joker and the little kids were frightened of me. LOL
All the costumes in my size are either too expensive or too slutty. My price range is rather low since I couldn’t care less about Halloween. I do not want something slutty. I don’t want to show too much leg or ANY stomach. It has to be work appropriate. Why do the people that make these costumes think this is a good idea for a plus-sized costume? lol
My price range is lower than 25 dollars. I was thinking something like a Greek goddess or a renaissance lady, it seems like these would be very flattering. But really anything that’s not slutty or scary will work. I’d be willing to make a costume if it’s really simple and can be done in a week or so (last year my boss made us dress up all week.) Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

Halloween Group Costume Ideas for Hot Teenage Girls?

Ok so Halloween is coming up and me and my friends are looking for some HOT ideas… We were thinking basketball cheerleaders (but maybe there’s better ideas). For example, one girl is a Cavs cheerleader, another one Miami Heat, another New York Knicks, etc. We would wear the jerseys high up to expose hot stomach with mini shorts that match the color of the jersey… We were thinking basketball because too many girls do football and well, baseball just wont work. Another group of girls i heard are gonna be playboy bunnies and that seemed really cool but we cant do the same thing.. haha…. any advice??

Appropriate Halloween costumes?

Hi! I cannot believe I am asking this, since I am the Queen of Halloween, but I am looking for an APPROPRIATE Halloween costume. I am 23 years old, and all the costumes for my age group are rather skanky. Normally, I would have fun with it, and embrace said skankiness, but I have been invited to my boyfriend’s family Halloween party, and I cannot be hanging out of my clothes in front of his cousins and aunts and uncles, etc. Does anyone know a site where I can find an appropriate costume that is still cute? I don’t want to be a nun or a Renaissance woman or anything like that. I wanted to be an animal, like a bear, but I don’t want to wear a mask or a full body suit. I want my legs to show a bit, but I don’t want my backside to be hanging out of my skirt. Nothing too low-cut and no stomach showing. Can anyone help me?

Are there any female comic book characters that wear tutus, petticoats or loose clothes?

So I’m going to a comic book store’s grand opening party and my boyfriend and I are wearing costumes. I have a fat, pregnant looking stomach, so I don’t want to wear a Wonder Woman costume or a Super Girl costume or anything like that.

Those flare out, so they don’t look as weird on my fat tummy. Or just loose clothes?

I have been reading graphic novels, but nothing that would work for a costume.

Where can I find cheap Renaissance costumes?

Where can I find cheap, but good Renaissance costumes? I know they are expensive, but anything that is cheaper. Or at least a semi cheap bodice. The clothes don’t have to be all renaissance, but something medieval themed. They can be a peasant, gypsie or whatever outfit but I would prefer one that includes a nice dress (something like a princess outfit). This is for a renaissance fair… so something in that genre I would appreciate.

Or, do you have any ideas on how to build a cheap renaissance faire costume that is for a princess (nothing that shows the stomach because I heard you get made fun of if you dress like a witch or belly dancer or gypsy).
