My friend and I (both 17) have decided that we want to go out and have fun (and get free candy) this year. We are planning on going out Trick or Treating, and we want our costumes to be theme costumes.
Some of our ideas are:
1. John McCain and Sarah Palin
2. Renaissance King (or Knight) and Queen (or Princess)
3. Cows
4. Old Man and Woman
5. Huck Finn and Aunt Polly (in modern day, but dressed as in the book; basically the old people costume with a twist)
6. Priest and Nun
7. Manager at a local bookstore and manager at a local grocery store ("Steve and Louann") [Personally frightening]
I am on a budget, and I don’t have anything for any costumes right now, so I would love suggestions on how to make these costumes inexpensively or ideas for other inexpensive costumes. Thank’s a bunch!
Please help, we are attending a wedding at the renaissance faire in the morning, which the morning becomes hot – even though we are NOT dressing in costume, is it alright for my husband to wear a polo shirt, top siders, with a nice pair of cargo shorts and/or dress shorts for this affair?
Its Day time, theme costumes (optional), the place is all dirt flooring and all out doors.

I have two daughters, ages 6 and 5 months. My 6 year old told me that for Halloween, she didn’t care what she was, but she wanted her costume to go along with her 5 month old sister’s costume. You can find Couples Costumes everywhere — adam and eve, banana and monkey… but nothing for kids.
Anyone have any cute ideas for children’s theme costumes that would go together for their age groups. (cartoons and Disney characters seem to be the biggest rage but any ideas would be appreciated!) They don’t need to be available for purchase anywhere – I have a friend who is willing to sew the costumes for me.
