at a thrift store last year, to match my renaissance costume; but as i was looking at it today, i wondered if it is based on anything historical. this is a fairly serious question ya’ll, please no BS answers. thanks.

Im going with a group and everyone is dressing up for the fun of it.
I have very little money so ill only go to wal mart or a thrift store to get clothes to put together as a costume.
Im thinking of being a renaissance peasant. I figured it would be a cheap and easy costume to make.

I am going to a pirate themed party next month and don’t have much money, due to being in college. I would like to make my own costume for the party using either things I can find in my closet or at a thrift store. I was wondering if anyone had ideas as to what I could use to make a good costume.
